Delgani Adult Quartet RetreatA weekend of chamber music and friends in the beautiful Southern Willamette Valley
October 19 to 22, 2017
Delgani’s Adult String Quartet Retreat is designed for string players of all levels who would like to improve their chamber music skills while exploring new repertoire. Individuals and pre-formed groups are invited to apply. No professional experience is required.
Individuals will be placed into quartets with fellow participants. Groups will have rehearsals, receive coachings, explore repertoire in reading sessions, attend seminars on string quartets, and have the opportunity to perform at the end of the weekend. There will also be plenty of opportunities to read music with others and work with members of the Delgani String Quartet.
Extra-curricular activities include indoor and outdoor recreation on the Kilston estate, optional trips to local wineries, and star-gazing led by retired astronomer Steve Kilston.
Please register early! We limit enrollment to ensure quality instruction and attention.

Steve has a Ph.D. in Astronomy, discovered a comet, proved that we are made of atoms created in stars, and designed a plausible interstellar spaceship. Vera designed their home and produced the gardens and mosaics decorating it.
